Donation Bank Program

You Must Be a Volunteer of Pawsibilities to Participate in the Bank Program

Our shelter located at 7996 Darrow Road in Twinsburg, Ohio cares for as many as 400 animals that have been abused, neglected and abandoned. In 2011, over 1000 animals from our shelter were adopted and found their forever homes. Now, more than ever before, we need your help -- Pawsibilities® Humane Society of Greater Akron belongs to everyone in Summit County and we challenge you to help us continue to help all of the abused, neglected and abandoned animals in our community. The Pet Banks project allows volunteers to enjoy a fun, easy and new way to help raise awareness and funding that directly supports all of the animals in the shelter.
  1. Make a Pet Bank out of common household items. Instructions on how to build a Pet Bank can be found in the Bank Program - Getting Started document. If you do not want to create a bank, we have a few banks available for loan.
  2. Take it to a store in your neighborhood and ask the manager if you can place it on the counter near the point-of-sale. You may want to take along our Open Letter To Management to give to a manager for more information about the program. It won't take long before store customers start dropping their coins and dollars into your Pet Bank.

Pet Banks are easy to make and helping shelter animals is so rewarding!

Contact us at (330) 487-0333 to register your bank and for more information

Check out the Bank Program - Getting Started document and read how easy it is to make a bank, and then get started! These are only suggestions…be creative. You also want to look at the Bank Program Participant Information document to learn what to do once you have entered the bank program.
