Celebrating animals is our passion. The Humane Society of Greater Akron, incorporated in 1968, is dedicated to alleviating animal suffering, preventing and investigating animal cruelty, protecting the welfare of animals and providing quality adoption services. It is our goal to respond to the ongoing needs of the animals and residents of Summit County and to educate the community, whose support we need to accomplish this mission.

Monday: Closed
Tuesday-Friday: 1:00pm - 7:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday: Noon - 5:00pm

- We value companion animals, recognize their contributions to people's lives and promote their humane treatment.
- We rescue and rehabilitate sick, injured, abused and abandoned animals, and find new homes for them.
