What's in a name? Holly, Ivy, Shamrock, Lucky are all names given by our staff to Humane Society animals during different holiday seasons. Sometimes, particularly in hoarding situations, we must come up with lots of names--very quickly. Baby name books sit in various places in our facility. Annually we assign over 2,500 names to the cats, dogs, rabbits, snakes, ferrets, and birds that come thru our doors.
By definition a name is "a designation and a way to be distinguished from others." Pawsibilites, the Humane Society of Greater Akron, can give you a way to be distinguished from others forever. You have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to leave your name, your loved one's name, or the name of a beloved pet in perpetuity in our new facility.
