Did you know the Humane Society of Greater Akron offers FREE Community Education Programs?
Our programs are an essential part of promoting kindness toward animals and breaking the cycle of violence. We offer a variety of interesting and enlightening presentations for people and kids of all ages. Whether in an elementary school, special needs class, or youth organization, our goal is to promote respect and compassion for animals. Each presentation is designed to strengthen the human-companion animal bond through learning. You can customize the program you would like by selecting from the variety of lesson plans offered through the Humane Society or we can tailor something for you. There are a variety of lessons to choose, from dog bite prevention to pet overpopulation. At this time our programs are designed for children in preschool through 5th grade, but we can accommodate most age groups if desired. For more information about the programs or to inquire about how to set up a presentation contact our Director of Education Kristin Branagan at 330-487-0333 ext. 227 or educoutreach@summithumane.org. Please remember that dates are based on availability, so please schedule as soon as possible.
