Bark in the Park is a great event for the whole family – including your pet! Pledge to walk for the homeless animals in our shelter that are awaiting their forever homes while checking out local pet and animal related businesses. There will be food, raffles and plenty of entertainment for everyone in the family!

Kitten season* is the time of year when cats give birth, flooding local animal shelters and rescue groups with homeless litters. Kitten season is really three seasons in one-it starts in spring, peaks in late spring or early summer, and ends in fall. Help us raise awareness of pet overpopulation in Summit County while we collection much needed resources for the nearly 500 kittens that will pass through our doors this year.
Wish List: KMR powder (1st & 2nd stage), Wet kitten food, Dry kitten food, Gerber baby food (chicken & turkey flavor), Dawn dish soap, Baby wipes, Cat toys (wand, balls, mice), Digital thermometer, Heating pads, Heating disks, Fleece baby blankets, Soft stuffed animals, Non-clumping litter ,Litter scoopers, Small shallow litter boxes, Cat/kitten combs and brushes, Paper towels, Pet store gift cards, Monetary donations for vaccines.
If you know of an animal that is abused, abandoned or neglected, a Humane Officer is on call between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays.
