Come join us at Canal Park as the Akron Aeros take on the Reading Phillies on Wednesday, August 11. Tickets are $6 for People and $4 for Pets! Festivities include a pet parade before the game, photos at home plate with Orbit after the game for a small donation, raffle tickets, prices, and an adoption area featuring homeless animals from our shelter and the Summit County Animal Coalition.
Discounted tickets are available at the shelter located at 7996 Darrow Road in Twinsburg - proceeds will benefit Pawsibilites, the Humane Society of Greater Akron. Tickets will also be available on game day at the door for full price, and those proceeds will not benefit the shelter so please purchase tickets from the shelter.

People do not need to be a HSGA volunteer to help with this event.
Training is provided so don’t be afraid. Most of the volunteer options are dealing cards (again we’ll train you), but we do need people to count money, collect seat fees and help assign players to tables. We will need to at least 50 volunteers per day just to deal.
Volunteers can spend all day there and or work shifts. We have all kinds of scheduling options. Volunteers are also welcome to stay and play Texas Hold 'em. Be sure to invite your friends and family to help or play. Snacks will be provided and the concessions are discounted for volunteers.
