This frail six week old pup was left in a small rusty cage with a pad lock placed on it. He was abandoned in an open field with no food, water or shelter from the elements. People in the neighborhood had seen this puppy the day before but no one wanted to get involved. Luckily, a good samaritan who felt differently called us. When we got to him, the cage was flooded with rain water. What looked to be several days worth of feces and urine also covered the bottom of the cage. No food or drinking water was available to him or any way for him to stay warm or dry. After removing him from this dreadful entrapment, we found he was very dehydrated, malnourished, and his paw pads were bloody from standing in his own waste for so long. He was immediately taken back to the shelter and given the royal treatment. Now, he is in a loving foster home and being spoiled the way every baby should be. He will make a full recovery and forget the awful way his life began.
