There is no doubt about it - our relationships with our pets are some of the strongest and most important in our lives. There is no better way to honor the pets and pet-lovers in your life who have touched your heart than by helping local animals in need.
As you know, the Humane Society of Summit County works tirelessly to save those animals in our community who are suffering. We provide these animals with hope and a second chance through veterinary care, behavioral support, and adoption, but it is only possible through the generosity of our local friends and partners, like you.
Consider making a tribute donation to a person or pet to help rescue homeless animals here in Summit County. When you give this gift in honor or memory of a person or pet, your thoughtfulness goes both ways. You can help animals here at our shelter and share that goodness with the people and animals in your life.
Our need continues to rise, especially at this time of year. “Kitten season” is upon us, and we expect to care for over 1,000 kittens in 2019. Our population of dogs and puppies in need will rise during the warmer months as well. Our resources will be stretched to the limit, which is why your support is needed now more than ever.
We love hearing your stories about the animals in your life who are more than pets - they are family. Thank you for paying that love forward through your gift to the animals awaiting adoption here at the Humane Society of Summit County.
From all of us at HSSC, pets and humans alike, please accept our deepest gratitude for your friendship, generosity, and your love for animals.
If you make an honorary or memorial donation during this season of remembrance, we will create a Paw Print Card (shown at right) and display it in our lobby through the end of June!
