Alice

Alice was surrendered to the Humane Society of Summit County when her health became overwhelming for her previous owner. Our medical team treated Alice's ailments and in no time at all, Alice was ready for her forever home.

Here's what her forever family had to say about her:

I'm so glad that I have had Alice to keep me company during the stay at home orders. She is a really amazing dog! From our first night together I knew that she was going to be a lot of fun. I bought her a toy and a friend of mine gave me a dog bed. Alice kept jumping on and off the couch with her duck and putting it in her dog bed. I decided that she could sleep in my bed if she wanted to. Alice had to bring her duck to bed because she was so afraid of losing it. I am sure that had to do with the fact she came from a hoarder. I'm glad she got over that because she has so many toys. Alice loves to play. She likes to play fetch but doesn't bring the toy back. Alice also delights in chasing the shadows from my cell phone when the sun hits it. I recently got a laser for her and she absolutely loves chasing it. We live in a senior high rise building. The other residents know her name, but not mine. If I go down without her they always ask where Alice is. They just adore her and she is so patient with them. When the maintenance man comes in he has to put his tools down and pet her before he can do any work. She loves going for walks, but not car rides. Alice loves getting groomed. The groomer told me that she kisses her the whole time. Thank you for all of the work you do there. Alice rescued me from a broken heart. My fur-baby of fourteen years had died. I swore I'd never get another dog. It was just too quiet here. I had been looking for a dog that would be the right fit for almost a year. Then I found Alice!
