Dexter came to the Humane Society of Summit County after what was likely a harrowing event that left him with bite marks on his face. While treating his wounds, our veterinary team also diagnosed him with heartworm. After nearly a year in the shelter and a foster home, Dexter received a clean bill of health and was ready to be adopted!
Here's what his forever family had to say about him:
We rescued Dexter in 2020 and he’s been such a great addition to our little family. He’s truly the most gentle, quiet and relaxed boy I’ve ever met. He loves walks, wearing cute bandanas, his ball and his not one, but two, squishy beds and blankets. We spoil him crazy and love him harder. He’s been a great friend through this pandemic and I’m so grateful. I hope everyone has the chance to adopt such a wonderful friend and companion. My husband and I are so lucky we adopted from you!
