Libby

Trudy was rescued in June 2019 after she was found as a stray in need of veterinary care. Her skin was painful, irritated, and itchy as a result of an infection that had spread along her back and legs. Trudy was miserable and desperately needed our help.

At our shelter, Trudy was examined by our veterinarian and prescribed medications and weekly baths to treat her ailment. Trudy also enjoyed lots of love and attention from our staff and volunteers as she recovered! Soon enough, Trudy was healed and ready for the next step - adoption!

In early August, Trudy made her TV debut on WKYC's LIVE on Lakeside as the "Pet of the Week" and showcased her sweet, relaxed personality. She and volunteer Jim helped to promote an upcoming adopt-a-thon, but Trudy didn't have to wait until then for her adoption day!

Just days later, Trudy (who now goes by Libby!) found her forever family! Her new mom had the following update to share soon after her adoption day:

"We are so happy to have adopted Libby! She’s stolen our hearts and most of the room in my bed. She’s everything we could have asked for and more. We are over the moon to be her family!"

We're so happy for you Libby! You certainly hit the jackpot!
