When a Good Samaritan brought Poppy, now known as Zara, in, she was suffering immensely. Her fur was so matted she had to be shaved entirely before our veterinary team could begin to understand the breadth of her issues. Once free of the painful mats, Zara was still clearly suffering. Masses were found on her abdomen, her teeth needed work, and something was going on with her eyes. Our shelter veterinarian later removed the masses from her abdomen as well as a few teeth. The veterinarian also determined Zara was suffering from chronic dry eye in addition to being totally blind. Once she was all fixed up, Zara found a forever home in no time.

Here's what her forever family had to say about her:

Just wanted to let you know that Zara is doing great. She is a sweetheart and I’m so glad I was able to adopt her.
