Blaze

Little Henry, FKA Blaze, and six of his siblings were rescued by our Humane Officer at the beginning of November after they were found in shocking condition. Each of them, at the fragile age of two months, were severely malnourished and crawling with fleas.

Once safely at our shelter, the litter was thoroughly examined and given high calorie puppy food, which was scarfed down with excitement. The seven puppies were also treated for their fleas and given appropriate vaccinations to protect them from disease.

Within a few weeks, the puppies had transformed into healthy, happy, wiggly babes ready for their ...

Wren

Wren was rescued by our Humane Officers in May of 2015 when he was found in need of medical care. His sweet personality and unique appearance quickly made him a staff and volunteer favorite! Unfortunately, Wren struggled to overcome the chronic ear infections that plagued his health before his rescue. Wren would face an extended recovery.

Here's what his new Mama had to say:

He's doing really well. He's feeling more comfortable for sure. He typically doesn't want to get out ...

This is what her new Mama had to say:

I adopted Mila in early January and she has settled in with just a little adjust period with her older housemate. Mila is my new greeter when friends visit. She is so curious and stays busy checking every ...

Luna

Lainie, aka Luna was rescued by the Humane Society of Summit County along with her adult daughters who were both very pregnant (It was quite the family affair!). HSSC cared for all three, and two healthy litters of puppies, until they could all be adopted! Now, Lainie and her daughters can put their mothering days behind them and focus on being the baby of their families.

Here's what Lainie's new Mama had to say:

I'm attaching an updated photo collage of Lainie in action and she barks a friendly hi to all of her friends at HSSC ...
