Chico

Chico was surrendered to the Humane Society of Summit County when his health became too overwhelming for his previous owner to manage. Our veterinary team removed a large mass from his leg and did dental work. Once he was healthy, Chico found his forever home!

Aleric

Aleric was found as an emaciated stray by a Good Samaritan. Our veterinary team treated his skin infection and put him on a proper diet before he quickly found his forever home!

Confetti

Confetti, now known as Tina, was brought to the Humane Society of Summit County by a Good Samaritan. Our veterinary team fixed her right up and with no trouble at all, she found her forever home!

Here's what her forever family had to say about her:

I adopted her when she was around one and a half, she just turned 9. I wanted to thank you again for rescuing her. She is a joy and has been a great comfort to me, especially during these difficult times. We are happily living the quiet life in Akron. Thank you again!

Finn and Fergie

Finn and Fergie, now known as Ray and Ren, were both found as kittens that were too young to be without their mothers. Both kittens were put with foster families while they grew and gained strength and quickly found their forever home together!

Here's what their forever family had to say about them:

They have settled in wonderfully and are still the perfect pair. They cuddle and play together all day long. I couldn’t be happier to have adopted them. Thank you for all your help with this process and helping me find the best kittens.

Dexter

Dexter came to the Humane Society of Summit County after what was likely a harrowing event that left him with bite marks on his face. While treating his wounds, our veterinary team also diagnosed him with heartworm. After nearly a year in the shelter and a foster home, Dexter received a clean bill of health and was ready to be adopted!

Cooper

Cooper, now known as Finnegan, was surrendered to the Humane Society of Summit County when his health became overwhelming for his previous owner. Cooper was treated for intestinal parasites and put on a diet to manage his weight and he found a forever home in no time!

Rosie Posie

Rosie Posie was rescued by a Good Samaritan who noticed she was not in good health living as a stray. Our veterinary team diagnosed Rosie Posie with heartworm disease and quickly began her treatment. Rosie Posie was a perfect candidate for a foster home and we were able to quickly place her with a family who could give her the undivided attention and care that she needed to recover from heartworm disease.

Cifer

Cifer was found abandoned in a barn by a Good Samaritan who then brought the three kittens to the Humane Society of Summit County. Cifer and his littermates were so tiny that they were set up with a foster family who provided them bottlefeeding and round-the-clock care. Once he was big enough to make it on his own, Cifer quickly found his forever family!

Haze

Haze, now known as Togo, was rescued by our Humane Officers after being abandoned on a property. Togo quickly won over a new forever family though!

Phineas

Phineas was brought to our shelter by a landlord who found him and another cat abandoned in a unit after the tenants had moved out. Thankfully for Phineas and his cat friend, Ferb, they found new forever homes in no time at all!

Here's what Phineas' forever family had to say about him:

Phineas settled right in. Two hours after we got home, he was sleeping on my lap. He enjoys playing with his catnip toy (his baby), watching birds, getting petted, waking me up at 4 AM and sleeping wherever he pleases.
