Open your heart and home to a pet in need!

For animals who are very young, sick, or injured, time in a foster home may provide them with a therapeutic place to recover and grow before they are ready for adoption. Our greatest need each year is for kittens - we annually rescue over 1,000 kittens, most of whom require some time in a foster home!

Our foster families generously are rewarded with love, cuddles, and a great learning experience for the whole family! HSSC provides all the supplies your foster pet will need: food, bedding, leashes, litter, litter boxes, crates, and medical care – and staff offer advice and support!
