Hector

Sweet Hector had quite the journey – literally. This handsome kitty was abandoned in a vehicle that had been sold in Toledo and transported by freight to the Akron area in the middle of winter. Luckily, Hector survived his very frightening ordeal and was found by a kind man who knew exactly who could help. In our care, Hector took some time to trust us and gain a bit of weight, but once he did, he was as sweet as could be! Today, Hector lives safe and sound with his new adoptive family. They recently shared the following update:

“I am sending a little update on our adopted kitty, "Ford" - now known as "Hector" aka "Big Boy". We also call him Old Boy and Love Bug - but at the end of the day I think he knows he is loved, and we have taken steps to make sure he has a nice life with us!

Hector was adopted at end of April and after a week of hanging out in a bedroom he came out more and more and let us love on him. Once comfortable he will take and give so much love and affection - WE LOVE HIM!

He has shown a playful side too - running around the house and playing with all his toys! He is so handsome - and a gentleman also, patiently waiting for our resident kitty, Kano - a female rescue who is 2 years old, to warm up to him. He is so sweet but right now, she is not impressed. We hope she warms up to him and sees how sweet he is! As you can see by the photo, he is right at home with us!

Thank you for the work you do!
